composting - day one
Today is the first day we started composting. We tried vermicomposting - aka composting with worms.

Basically, you layer brown bedding (newspaper, compost, soil etc), add worms then layer in greens (food scraps).
More worms!
We bought an apartment sized composter, since we don’t have a lot of space or a garden to put all the compost once it’s ready to harvest.
I’m interested to see how it goes. Coun. Lindstrand told me these worms are from the same batch he got when he started vermiposting 7 years ago, so hopefully I don’t kill them!
